Courtney is a true Floridian through and through. She grew up in Dunedin, FL, where she fell in love with the Scottish performing arts, particularly highland dance. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Resort & Hospitality Management from Florida Gulf Coast University but now teaches Environmental Science at the local high school, a subject she always loved growing up. She currently resides in Southwest Florida with her partner and two loveable feline companions. Her writing style is perfect for young audiences (which she never anticipated!) ages 7-12. Expect stories full of wonder, whimsy, and stunning imagery, and her favorite theme to write about are dreams. In fact, many of her tales came directly from her own dreams! Readers will be transported to places they would have never thought existed.
Stance on the Use of A.I.
Courtney E. Hanlon does not condone the use of A.I. in the publishing , art, or any creative industry. She avoids using it as much as she possibly can (with most programs incorporating A.I into their infrastructure, it can be very difficult to avoid) and has never used it to write for her, speak for her, or generate ideas for her novels. All images used in promotional material have been human crafted and always will be. Even without her contract agreement with Luminary Publishing House, she will always choose against A.I.
